Go Wansbeck Schemes - Wansbeck Enterprise in Education Network (WEEN)
WEEN's vision
An Enterprise culture will empower our young people to meet their aspirations and possess a strong sense of purpose allowing them to make their mark on the world thereby transforming their own futures and that of the wider community.
The WEEN team aims to promote and develop enterprising skills, qualities and attributes in young people from their earliest years through to adulthood. It is supported by education organisations and employers across the district.
At the heart of this initiative is the recognition of the importance of nurturing an enterprising attitude, and encouraging creativity and innovation is key to this. The young people of Wansbeck are our natural resource, and so a change in attitude – supported by education, employers, communities and families is central to making the district an enterprising place.
The WEEN team are working with all of the various educational establishments that are in Wansbeck. This includes 22 First schools, 8 Middle Schools, 4 High Schools, 1 special school, 1 further education college.
