Wansbeck will be going live on television this Friday (13 July) when a TV advert will be aired across the region for the very first time as part of the Go Wansbeck campaign – to promote Wansbeck’s Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI) which will be launched on Friday at Woodhorn, Ashington.
The advert – going live on prime-time television at 7.45pm in the Coronation Street break – features Wansbeck businesses and local people and was shot over two days on location across Wansbeck.
Keith Raine, Wansbeck LEGI’s programme manager, said: “This a very exciting time for Wansbeck. This commercial – which will be seen across the Tyne Tees region – really illustrates the diversity of what businesses and individuals are doing across the district.”
The advert was created by Wansbeck LEGI’s advertising agency MTR and produced by Dene Films.
Caroline Metcalfe, MTR’s group account director, said: “We had a fantastic time filming the advert – Wansbeck has such a wealth of great people and enterprises that we had rich pickings for subjects! The purpose of the advert is to convey how much is going on in Wansbeck and I think this really comes across
“We would like to thank everyone involved in filming the advert – including: NocNoc Handles, Aggregate Industries, JBT Management, Falon Nameplates, Mowbray School in Choppington, Woodhorn, Cambois Rowing Club, Ashington Bowling Club, Bed of Roses florist, John and Jeanette Wright, Anthony Watson and friends, Pal Joey, Paddock Hall Equestrian Centre and Paula Hannay with her triplets Jasmine, Taylor and Jay.”
