Stress Management Workshop

Venue: Age Concern, The Round House, Lintonville Parkway, Ashington
Outline:
This full day covers a whole host of skills including identifying signs and symptoms of stress, understanding causes of stress and handling difficult people and situations.  For anyone who finds themselves with a bottomless in-tray this training will give you the skills and aptitudes to deal with even the toughest of situations and remain calm and in control.  Click here for a booking form.

Marketing for success workshop –

Public Law Training

Outline: This event is primarily intended for the voluntary sector. By having an understanding of your rights under public law many situations can be avoided. Keen interest is anticipated so please book early to ensure the opportunity is not missed.

working definition of public law/public bodies and public functions/duties & powers/legislation, regulations & guidance

Public law wrongs
Illegality/fairness/irrationality/maladministration

Making a challenge
decisions, actions and failures to act by a public body/information gathering and problem analysis

Public law remedies
Complaints/compact & mediation/ombudsman schemes/judicial review

Attending the training session will give you the knowledge to identify if a public body is acting unlawfully, to promote collaborative working and if necessary, challenge decisions.

North East Economic Forum Annual Conference

Outline: Information NEEF is a Not-for-Profit organisation. The North East Economic Forum was established in 2005 as a vehicle for continued debate on the growth and regeneration of the North East as a region. The Forum brings together the regions key stakeholders from national and local government, industry and the voluntary sector; with representatives from trade unions, the regions universities and stakeholder groups such a the CBI.
