LiVit MAKES BEAUTY COMES ALIVE IN ASHNGTON

An entrepreneur from Ashington is celebrating the completion of the final phase of the complete refurbishment of his beauty salon, LiVit, after adding to the range of beauty services on offer.

Since its dramatic transformation from  bookmakers to a one stop beauty shop in July last year, owner, Rod Thirtle, has been busy putting the finishing touches of his salon together by hiring the latest state of the art tanning booth, the Erogoline Avantgarde 600 Turbo and employing a hair stylist to expand his beauty professionals to a team of five.

As well as the tanning and hair styling now on offer LiVit, also provides facials, massages, nail treatments and waxing, in addition to specialist beauty treatments that include teeth whitening, body shaping toning treatments, non-surgical facelifts, botox, lip enhancements and chemical peels, all in a very comfortable, relaxing environment.

This full range of beauty treatments that Rod now offers, boasts LiVit as the only salon in Ashington to offer a full range of beauty treatments all under one roof.

Rod, who decided to start the company after gaining several years of management experience while working for large companies in Manchester, said:

“Having always dreamt of starting my own business, I took the chance after discovering a gap in the local market for beauty treatments and although it’s stressful at times being in the salon seven days a week, I enjoy meeting and greeting the customers on a personal level as well as knowing that I am contributing to their well being.

“I have been assisted every step of the way in the process of setting up my business from financial support to getting marketing help. Having a business mentor to talk things through with has benefited me a great deal. I particularly find the fact that he has been in business himself a benefit as he understands the stresses business start-ups face.”
